READING ASSIGNMENT:  2.) Web 2.0 Technology Application to Libraries.
TITLE OF THE ARTICLE(S):  “How to use web 2.0 in your library.” “The Internet and the World Wide Web.”
AUTHOR (S):  Bradley, P. ,  Shelly, G. B. et al.
PUBLISHER(S):  Facet Publishing: London 2007, USA Thomson course technology 2010

Abstract of the article(s): (1-2 paragraph/s):
Some industry experts use the term "web 2.0" to refer to websites that provide a means for users to share personal information such as social networking website, which allow users to modify website content like wikis, and have application software built into the site for visitors to use like e-mail and word processing programs.
The term "Web2.0" refers to 2nd generation of internet-based services such as social network sites, wikis, communication tools and folksonomies that emphasize online collaboration and sharing among users.
Three things I learned from my Reading Assignment:
1. Web 2.0 is dynamic and gives users the opportunity to make changes via processor with colleagues at the same time.
2. Web 2.0 is often referred to as “wisdom of the world”. The platform can harness a wide variety of ideas putting them together in one form.
3. Users of Web 2.0 can have control of their web pages. They can re-size, manipulate etc these pages, which are no longer static.
Application/Implication of the new things I learned to my work/to me as a person:
Its application is very important in the sense that Librarians can quickly and easily create new resources for their users.  Being a new concept, it is radically changing the services of librarians, providing information, keeping in direct contact with clients and running update and selective dissemination of information services.
